Review on 'Heart of Darkness' by Joseph Cornad

                      Joseph Cornad occupies a respectable possition as a fiction writer in the history of English Litrature. 'Heart of Darkness' Is the most famous work  by him. Which expresses his journey in the Congo. It is Cornad's most complex novellathat offers a brilliant fiction a coun of the savge. extortion which often in the quest of imperial progress. Moreover, other things are madness as a result of imperialism. The absurdity of evil, comment on racial problems etc. 'Heart of Darkness' introduses a different group of characters. He is the link between late victorian stle of novel writing and modern style of novel writing. 'Heart of Darkness' is a fine example of Cornad's literary art. This novel has a different plot. The story advances with Marlow's Journe towards the innersation. It moves backward and forward, that means flashback technique is used. The story devided into three parts. 'Heart of Darkness' shows use of certain symbols like fog, the river, women etc. Even the title is highly symbolic. Fog indicate invisibility or confusing condition to take decision. Kurtz's African mistress stands as blank status upon which the values of society's can be displayed. The Congo river is the key to African for  European.
