Susan Noon’s Pitcher-I.A Richards’ Figurative Language.

               The concept about painting of Susan Noon’s blue pitcher, we find in I.A Richards’ Poem Solemn and Gray. The poetic line about Blue Pitcher is like,

                           While below the Hawthorns Smile like milk splashed down,

                                          From Noon’s blue pitcher over mead and hill;

          During the reading of the poem, it is very difficult to connect and understand this line about Noon’s blue pitcher. When we search on Google we find following image of ‘blue Pitcher’.

                    The fallen flowers outside blue pitcher is compared with the way white flowers of Hawthorn were visible to the cloud-like splashed milk over mead and hill.

Waxen Winged Father and Son and fall of an Unknown –Dr. Faustus.

                We know the story about Dr. Faustus and his quest about living long and also about his downfall of life. The image of Icarus is used in the opening passage to characterize the Fall of Faustus.

                Icarus was a figure in classical mythology who because of his pride had soared too high in the sky, had melted his wax wings, and subsequently had fallen to his death. The classical image of the fall of Icarus reinforce the Christian images of the fall of Lucifer brought in Scene 3.

                                                      

OD:Oneness of Literature

Here, I am sharing my views on oneness of literature  by the short story 'A joke' by Anton Chakhov and poem ' The Barial of  the Dead' by T.S Eliot, as per my understanding. 

           The present lines are from 'Waste Land', first part 'The Barial of the Dead' by T.S Eliot. In his essay 'Traditional and Individuel Talent', Eliot talks about the pastness of past and its relevance to present. This concept we find in this poem 'The Barial of the Dead '. In this poem a women named Marie recalled her childhood memories.  So,the concept of pastness of the past is very relevance to this above lines of the poem.

              Northorpe Frye also talks about the oneness of the world' all literature in his essay 'The Archetypal criticism '. He want to say that DNA of all literature is same. The oneness of literature is because the writers write it on the base of historical sense and writers also shows their's  own feelings,emotions and problems with various types of archetypal symbols. So, this sameness or oneness of literature we found in this above lines and the short story ' A Joke' by Anton Chakhov '. In this both we find many similarities like, atmosphere, situations, recall of the past memories and the theme of love. This are the main similarities we found in the short story ' A Joke' and a poem 'The Barial of the Dead '.

              'A Joke' by Russian writer Anton Chakhov ane Eliot's poem both are many similar. Main character of short story Nadia and main character of poem is Marie. Both recalled their memory, its all about physical attraction and love towards opposite gender. The symbols like mountains, snow are used similar in both. In the short story we find that there is no true love , because if the speaker love Nadia,  than why he had not express his love towards Nadia and also at the end of the novel he said that why he made joke with Nadia. In the poem we find that Marie attract towards his cousin and this is happend in childhood.  So, we can say that it is only physical attraction towards opposite gender and it is lust, not love. The lines of Marie's cousin,'hold me tight', is show the lust and sexually attraction. So, in the poem and short story, we find oneness or similarities of literature. 

           So, in short we can say as per Northorpe Frye's essay on 'Archetypal Criticism' about oneness of literature,  that the symbols,emotions, conditions, feelings etc. made literature similar, because writers write on base of historical sense and that's why we find oneness of world's all literature.

OD2: Post-truth: The Word of the Year 2016

             Post-Truth is relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief. politics has had always a close relationship with lies, and thats why politics and truth never run together. Every politician or powerful leaders give promise during elections. They convince normal people to give him vote. But after winning the election they forgive their all promise. so, we can say that the word post-truth is very relevant with politics. we can see that in our contemporary post truth is going on very badly. Normal people become puppet or sandwitch of politicians or any powerful leaders.

OD5: Psychological Advantages of Literature

Literature played a very vital role in our life. Here, the four advantages are given. I am agree with all the four advantages.

1. IT SAVES YOU TIME.

          When we think about literature, we feel that this is a boring or westing of time. But actually we can not see others full life with every day. But if we read story wr read wholr life of others in very short time. So literature saves our time and in film or sirial the track of leap id also time saver. Means in reality wr can not go 5 or 10 years in fature but in literatutr it is possible.

2 : IT MACKS YOU NICER:

              Literature gives us the good thoughts and emotions and mack us good human being. We can feel the others pain and it gives usthe strength of forgiveness to others and great sympathy in our minds.

3: IT'S  A CURE FOR LONELINESS:

              We feel loneliness when our mood is not good or we feel sadness. That time literature is best idea to face loneliness.  Literature engaged us and also give us good thought and it help us to come out from loneliness.
   
4: IT PREPARES YOU FOR FAILURE:              

                  Literature prepare us for failure. Many time we find that media or newspaper gives us the story or incident of fail. But literature gives us the power to face the failure. And literature mack us able to fight against any failure situations.
  
        I want to add one more advantage of literature in this list. That is

IT MACKS YOU POSITIVE THINKER:

             I think that literature macks us positive thinker. Some time we are being very nerrow minded or see the things as a negative points of views. But literature help us to creat good thoughts and macks us positive thinker.

OD4: Huxley vs Orwell: Dystopian Truth in Post-truth era

                      Literature is a mirror of society because it reflect our society. The two books of Aldoys Huxlely's Brave New World (1931)and George Orwell's nineteen eighty four (1949) are such literary texts,which reflects our contamporary time. The recent developments in England (BrExit), USA ( Donald Trump),France and India (Right majority coming to power)in 21st century is challanging globalixation. This bothe writers Aldous Hixlely and George Orwell's books are in demands noe a days, because during their time they both wrote about the life of technology, which now we live in the which world. In both novels we finds the image of our contamporary time, the fact of politic and their control on notmal people, every thing showen in that books. Powerless people become more powerless and powerfull people become more powerfull in contamporary time. Both the writers macks an interesting sense to understand our post-truth era.

OD3: Education System: Class in Forest: Apply Derridian deconstruction

                             This image is satire on our education system. Albert Einstine write very nice line that , 'every body is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life beliving that it is stupid'.

                      Means every one have their own ability in one or another feild. Every one good in their interested feild. But our education system judge students without knowing their abilities or interest. Everyone have their own ability or own skills. And our society or our parents also believe that my child become first and every parents believe it. Than who is become second or third? All the students are multi tasking and have their good skill in their own interested field.
